Description

The dome is located in the middle of the woods on a raised platform overlooking the trees. It is powered by solar panels and features off-grid living. The bed is situated so that guests wake up to a view of the forest through the panoramic window. There is a second queen bed in a loft area above the bathroom and under the skylight so guests can see the stars/moon at night. The bathroom has a composting (waterless) toilet, sink and shower. The kitchenette is fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, bowls, pots, and pan. There is a 2 person table to dine at and a propane stove for those chilly months. Outside on the patio area is a barbeque and a fire pit for cooking food, an eating/lounging area, and a wood-fired hot tub.

Such a lovely and cozy place to stay! We happened to have booked a stay right through a snowstorm, but were still warm and toasty in the dome and loved being in the wood-fire heated hot tub surrounded by fresh snow. And the owners were incredible and plowed not only their driveway but also their road so we could leave on time! It is still camping for sure, you need to bring water, chop wood and cook outside, but that made the experience better! And you can’t beat having a private bathroom, inside the dome! Will definitely be back!

Outstanding! What a comfortable place to stay, so close to riding trails and the forest!

We were able to hop onto the Whistle Pig trail and join the North Star from the site, and what a treat it was to soak in the wood fired tub after a day of ATV riding!

The beds are comfy, the dome is warm on cool nights and there is so much seating room around the firepit that we were able to set up a hammock, too.

Shaunna and Chris are responsive, friendly and have created a wonderful retreat in the woods.

We can’t wait to stay again!
